The operation of the GeoPortal of the JMK started
Description of WMS connection
The web map services (WMS) make it possible for the users to combine maps from several sources into one. Thus, current data of the map portal of the South Moravian Region may be combined directly in the GIS product environment with the locally maintained data. The detailed description of the WMS standard is available on the website of Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. (OGC).
The Geoportal map services of the land-use planning of the JMK are available in the WMS standard according to the specifications of
Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. (OGC). All published services are in version 1.3.0 (getMap, getCapabilities) and in the coordinate systems
S-JTSK/Krovak EastNorth (EPSG:5514 or former not official EPSG:102067), WGS 84/geographic (EPSG:4326), S-JTSK
/Krovak (EPSG:2065), WGS 84/UTM zone 33N (EPSG:32633),
MGI Austrian Lambert (EPSG:31287) and Google Spherical Mercator (EPSG:3785).
